People around you are toxic
Every one of us, to some
extent, gets influenced by people around us. If positive, uplifting, and
optimistic people surround us, it will have a positive affect on us. However if
people around us are those who are negative, discouraging and downbeat we will
tend to feel like them.
You constantly compare
yourself with others:
Constantly making comparisons
of ourselves with others can make us feel inferior, incompetent and inadequate.
First thing is life is not a race so we should stop looking at others in terms
what they are doing and achieving. Focusing on our own potentials and living
our own life can make our lives much better.
Stop
pleasing every one
It is
not possible to please everyone. By stopping efforts to please others we can
protect us from unnecessary disappointment, frustration and unhappiness.
You
ignore little things that can make you happy
You
like sports but you never give it a try. You like going out but hardly find
time for it. You like travelling but it’s been months or years you never made
any trip. If you will not give your life the little things you like, you are
going to deny yourself from a due share of happiness.
You
work long hours
You
are working hard to make a living but making no or very little efforts to make
a life. Money matters but it should not be at the cost of your relationships,
health and interests.
You
exaggerate little things
Small
things like forgetting keys at home, traffic fines, traffic jams are
frustrating but one should not let them ruin the entire day. It is important to
ask ourselves can we make a difference by getting frustrated and depressed. If
answer is ‘No’ then there is no need to get worry about what is beyond our
control.
You
focus on your failures rather than your achievements
If
you constantly focusing over what you have not got, surely you are going to
deny happiness to yourself. Instead focus on what you have achieved and be
grateful for it, it will make you happier.
You
are angry with someone
If someone
has done something wrong to you, just forgive him/her not because they deserve
forgiveness rather you deserve peace. If you continue having a grudge against
someone, probably you will cause him/her any harm, but you are going to ruin
your happiness for sure.
Problem
with your life style
You
are not living a healthy life style. You are not eating healthy food, not doing
exercise and not taking a proper sleep. By doing so you are violating the law
of nature to be happy. Assigning adequate time to your professional activities
is mandatory to your progression; in the same way sparing sufficient time for exercise
and sleep is fundamental to have happier life.
You
fail to learn from your mistakes
If
you don’t learn from your mistakes, you continue repeating them again and
again. This is a good recipe for unhappiness. So if something run in your life
contrary to what you are expecting then take time analyse it and find out a
solution so that you can avoid repeating it next time.
