Cannabis: A phenomenal healer with unstoppable momentum

Cannabis is a wonderful gift of nature with phenomenal healing power to combat several fatal diseases. Despite its enormous health benefits, unfortunately its gigantic potential to alleviating human sufferings largely went untapped as cultivation and usage of cannabis was declared illegal in most parts of the world. 

With more scientific evidence proving healing character of Cannabis in easing suffering from cancer, glaucoma, HIV or AIDS, Hepatitis C, Parkinson’s disease and other serious conditions, the perceptions as well as attitudes and behaviours regarding cannabis are reshaping. 

In face of strong public opinion and conclusive empirical evidence, governments around globe are considering relaxing laws that have prohibited the realization of its true healing potential and myriad benefits to mankind. 

      World and cannabis: 

The amazing character of cannabis to relieve the pain and sufferings of seriously ill patients coupled with a growing scientific evidence have forced many states around the world to look at laws that suppress cannabis cultivation and use. Leading the move Cannada is likely to become first Western country to legalise cannabis after government’s intentions to introduce necessary legalisation next year. A recent survey shows that 68% of Canadians support government’s intended legislation. Uruguay is the first country in the world to fully legalize cannabis in 2013.

More recently, Germany announced to legalise cannabis early next year for medicinal purposes. Admitting the medicinal efficacy of cannabis Germany’s Health Minister Hermann Groehe stated; "Our goal is that seriously ill patients are treated in the best possible way”. While in USA four states have taken their own decisions to legalise the recreational use of cannabis.

 Weed gold rush:

Witnessing the popularity of medicinal marijuana and various governments’ response to relaxing laws on cannabis use made many entrepreneurs try their hands to exploit the exponential growth potential which has been dubbed as “weed gold rush” in the USA. The healing power of cannabis is further establishing as evidence is emerging both from the empirical scrutiny of scientific community and from reports of popular media.

Recently, Yahoo News reported a miraculous story of 10 years old boy – Kalel Santiago; he endured a painful cancer treatment for two years only to be diagnosed with a severe autism condition that disabled him from speaking. To the surprise of Santiago family, with two oral doses twice a day of CBD – cannabis extracted oil- Kalel started speaking. 

Refuting the misperceptions about cannabis, Columbia University’s research based on 3500 American adults found no link between cannabis usage and developing anxiety or depression. This study has discarded the debates claiming cannabis potential link to mental health and problems. 

       Cannabis and cancer:

All cells in our body including those that become cancerous have cannabinoid receptor sites, cannabis oil with its THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) connect to these receptor sites, stimulates cell to produce ceramide that cause cell death. By not affecting healthy cells, cannabis oil acts as a target killer of cancer cells. Nature has provided us with a phenomenal healer which fits well with our own immune receptors system and stimulates metablolites to provide rapid and complete immune response.
