5 ways to know if your maid is torturing your baby

Admin

Working couples and single moms often overburdened with their work commitments find it really hard to spare enough time for their young kids. Their woes get rather worse if their kids are too young. Hiring a maid seems a practical solution for working people but you will never be 100% if your young one is taken proper care of and safe. Several stories in popular press and videos on social networks tell heartbreaking stories of babies who became a victim of those who supposed to look after them.

Important question for such parents is how to determine if their young one is properly taken care of when they are away? And if their kid is being maltreated or tortured how to spot it before it is too late? As a matter of fact, it is really hard to answer these questions with certainty. However, there are few things that can enable them to detect if there young one is being ill-treated, mishandled, or tortured.

Look for any spots on baby’s body

As you step back home, your first assignment is to check the body of your baby thoroughly. If you find any unusual sign or spot on your kid’s body, it may be first warning about your baby’s safety. Depending upon the type and severity of what you found on baby’s body, you can guess if your kid is subject to maid’s torture or any abuse.

Your baby’s behaviour

Your kid’s behaviour towards his/her maid is an important indicator of how he/she is being taken care of in your absence. If baby shows a disapproval or gets frightened and cries when you try to pass on him/her to maid, probably it is a strongest indicator that your kid is not properly taken care of or subjected to torture.

Make surprise visits

Your unscheduled visit may reveal truly how well maid you hired is good to your baby. Surprise visits don’t allow for cover up and have the potential to expose the true picture.

Make phone calls at regular intervals

While you are away and busy addressing your daily meetings, e mails and deadlines, spare few moments to call back at home and know about how your kid is and what he/she is doing? Try to get an idea about the mood of your baby, if he/she is happy or crying.

CCTV cameras

Get help from technology; get a camera installed in your baby’s room. This would not only allow you to monitor maid’s performance but also deter maid/babysitter to ignore, mishandle or torture your young one.
